Find a semester job- it's easier than you think!

As you get settled into your classes, see if there are possible opportunities for you to add a job. Make some cash on the side!

There are a number of cool ways to search for jobs. First, you should ask yourself what kind of job would you like? University job, research position, restaurant service, retail, internship, or just something fun.

There are countless resources available to you, check out “handshake.” This is a way to connect with UMN Alumni and see if there are any interesting employment opportunities.

ZipRecruiter is a great resource where you can apply to countless jobs with a simple touch of a button. First upload your resume, outline your top skills, and share a little about your strengths and interests. Then, you apply filters to find area, commute time, hours, and different types of jobs that fit your life.

After this, ZipRecruiter sends you recommendations of “one-tap apply” based on your top matches. Check it out!

Take a walk around campus! There are countless signs sharing opportunities to get involved with campus while getting paid!

Ask around your department and see what you can do to help professors, maybe there is an opportunity.
