Preparing for internships

It is that time of the year, internship season! What can you do now to help prepare for this upcoming opportunity?

Do your research. Learn about the history of the company you will be working for and also get to know the people you will be working with, before you actually work with them. Developing these connections will help to strengthen your relationship both in and out of the work place. Dress to impress. Tired of wearing the same 2 business outfits you have? Maybe it is time to invest in a new wardrobe. Dressing to impress is extremely important because everyday is an interview. You must look your best, act your best, and be your best.

Internships are a great learning opportunity, and they also could be the key into your career.

For those of you who have internships, congrats. For those of you who do not, and are still looking, that’s okay! There are still many incredible opportunities out there, reach out to your professors and advisors, ask them for advice.
