Staying Motivated

As the end of the semester approaches, it can be difficult to maintain motivation. Here are some suggestions to keep your feet on the ground, and head above water.

If you control your mindset, you control your life.

I know that school can get overwhelming and everything seems to be spiraling out of control at some points. This is normal. You decide what stays or goes, you decide what is important. Take control of your schedule, take control of your commitments, take control of your mindset and take control of your life.

Make sure what you do today is important, it is costing you a day of your life.

Take Control

  • Make lists of what is important to you.

  • Prioritize what really matters

  • Realize there are only 24 hours in a day

  • It is okay to take time for yourself

  • Reward yourself after completing tasks

  • Take time to appreciate your hard work

Life Getting Stale?

  • Make a new playlist

  • See how new music helps reset mindset

  • Take a new path to class

  • If you walk a different route to class, you might notice something or someone new

  • Try something new each day

  • Make a journal, documenting every new thing you have tried

  • Make new connections

  • Meet new people before summer hits

  • You can keep in touch with them over summer

  • Schedule things into your day that bring you joy

  • There is more to life than merely being a student

  • Involve things you are passionate about
